Recast Neutral Stamp

Description

*You may use this stamp!* You don't have to credit me. It'll link back anyway.

Before I say anything else, I first want to state that the doll in this stamp is NOT a recast. She is my legit Another Space brand Cookie model. Why did I use a legit doll instead of recast? First reason is that I don't own any recasts and secondly I would not take a picture of someone else's doll to use for something like this without their explicit permission. I'm not going to do all that when I can just use my own. There, that's out of the way.

So, my first stamp. And a pretty controversial one at that. With this stamp I am going to give my take on recasts.

First off, I KNOW RECASTS ARE ILLEGAL. Honestly, when it comes to bootlegging, I've never been one to care. Music, video games, clothes, jewelry: they get bootlegged all the time, and I don't judge people for it. I often see people argue that bootlegged crocs or music is somehow a lesser crime than a bootlegged doll. It's not! It's all the same! It's all illegal! If I'm not going to judge someone for bootlegging a $10 indie game, I'm not going to judge someone for bootlegging a $100 doll. Plain and simple.
Secondly, I'M TIRED OF ALL THE HATE. This whole debate is ripping the BJD community apart. I thought the whole point was to enjoy the dolls. Anti-recasters seem to think that pro-recasters are the scum of the earth, and pro-recasters seem to think that anti-recasters are purists. As a neutral person, here's something I've tended to notice:
1. Most people who own a recast doll tend to own a legit doll as well.
2. Most recasters do not support artist doll recasts, only massed produced recasts.
Does this make things better? I dunno, that's for you to decide. Like I said, I don't care.
Thirdly, I ask that people STOP REPORTING THE NEUTRAL GROUPS, especially on Facebook. You're only widening the gap between people, while the neutral groups are trying very hard to bring them together.

So basically all I'm trying to say is I don't own a recast, and I wouldn't own a recast. Honestly, they're all too expensive for me (the doll I own I received as a gift). However, if you own a recast, I'm not going to spew hate at you for it. I enjoy all the dolls.

Also, I've disabled comments because I don't want an argument about this. Everyone has a right to their opinion, but yours won't sway me.

I may edit this later to reiterate my points better than I did at 2am.
